  1. Yeah, I almost died from peritonitis back in March. It was horrible- one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.

    Seriously, no I haven't had an nde like what you're asking. I just couldn't resist being a little facetious. Hope you'll forgive me. It's getting late here. =)

    btw, if you have an interest in nde's you might want to check out www.near-death.com  if you haven't already.

  2. Yes, and it changed my life. It was very peaceful until I realized I wasn't in my body. But the peace... oh if only I could have that again! But not have to die to get it. It would be nirvana. If you really want to hear the story, you can email me.

  3. I've had a couple of them.  At first, I saw them as proof that there is a spiritual existence after death.  But more recently I have read that neurochemistry can explain the phenomenon, and that you experience what you expect to when your brain is deprived of oxygen.  And I did see what I expected to: a spirit guide something like an angel and something like a being of light.  He (yes, I perceived it as male) had me review my life and the reason why I was there (a suicide attempt in both cases), and pointed out that I could go back if I wanted to.  He also pointed out that I did not really want to die, I just wanted the problems to stop.

    It was more than imagination, but less than physical reality.  It was, in my opinion, a vision.  Hallucination, if you prefer that term.

  4. I almost drowned once. Fell off a cliff, hit a rock in the water :( The experience of it was kinda like watching a film that is fast forwarding, and you are watching, disoriented, and slowly dozing off to sleep. But a little terrified part of you forces you to keep trying to swim. That little voice got me out of the water intact with the exception of a nasty bruise.

  5. Please read this man's story;

    or see this video:

  6. If you have time, please watch this well researched video of interviews with several who have had profound NDE experiences:

  7. Yes. Mine was not NDE but death. Body was dead, mind alive. What happened in the limbo of nothingness, changed my life forever.

  8. I don't personally have a story but a friend of mine told me his:

    when he was younger he had a really bad asthma attack and his grandmother brought him to the ER.  He was actually pronounced dead.  His guardian angel appeared to him and told him that he had not learned all his lessons for this lifetime and he had two options.  He could die and be reborn and begin this life all over again or he could go back and continue this life.  As soon as he decided to go back and continue his life he woke up and sat up...scared the h**l out of the orderly that was cleaning his room!  The doctors couldn't believe he was alive.
