Question:

Anyone have a problem with Sabre insurance? I have had a terrible time getting them to pay out a simple claim!

My daughter had her car broken into, nearly 3 months ago and it is still with their chosen repairer, they are only repairing some of the damage and after first saying they would pay for the stolen music centre they now say they wont because it was not professionally fitted. I notice they take pride that they reduced claim payouts last year by 25%.(Still increased fees though) I am guessing how they did that! Has anyone else had a problem with this company? I bought it through AA but Sabre is insurer. Oh and she is to loose her no claims but they are hardly paying out anything.

  1. Nowadays most insurance companies keep trying to wriggle out of claims as their business has changed so much in the last few years, I cannot comment on individual companies but some actually employ people to fob you off with excuses such as "this is our last and final offer" as they try to reduce the number of claims paid but ignore it as they still have to pay. If you are right just keep plugging away and you will get paid but it could take a long time. If you stiil have no joy go to the Insurance Ombudsman the address of which you should find on the web.

  2. Your daughter has filed a claim.     Of course she will lose her "no claim" bonus.   Once you file a claim .....even a little one....you no longer have "no claims" on your record.  Therefore, you lose your "no claims" bonus.

If your daughter is having trouble.....have your daughter call a supervisor and ask him/her about her claim.

  3. All insurance companys are alike they take ur money in an instant and when it comes to pay out they will find any loophole not to pay you.
