Anyone have a really fun job? or a job they really like?

I dont know what i want to be when im older, anyone who really likes their job can you explain what it is and why you like it?

I am a geophysicist!  I get to use science everyday to help explore the earth for precious metals, gemstones, oil & gas, etc.

Not only do I get to travel to exotic and far away places, I get to meet a wide range of people while doing so.

I love science and nature, and this job is a great one for me.

I work as a flight nurse for a helicopter EMS company, and I love my job, but it didn't start out that way.  I have been a nurse for many years and I worked a number of jobs that I either disliked or hated.

The nice thing about health care is the number of options you have.  You can work with older people or babies, sick people or trauma, inside the security and control of the operating room or outside in an EMS environment.  Find something you like, and you will look forward to going to work.

For 2-3 years of educational investment, you can land a competitive job, ahead of most of your peers with the same amount of education, salary-wise, with some upside potential.  If it is something that you like to do, then it's even better.

Bottom line:  Money isn't the only variable, find a job that you love, where you don't starve to death, and can put back 10-20% of your income for retirement.  And enjoy.
