I'm 13 and i was wondering if anyone has any tips for on make up. I wear....

- Cover-up for zits

- Shimmery powder on face

- Blush

- Shimmery eyeshadow (on top lid up to brow and in corner of eye)

- Eyeliner (I use either liquid or pencil on top only, sometimes i use a light colored pencil or eyeshadow on bottom)

- Mascara on both lashes

- Lip gloss

I don't like my make up very dark but i like it to be noticeable. Any and all tips are appreciated. Thanks.

  1. - Cover-up for zits

Instead of covering them up, invest in a good skin system or just a simple cleanser to get rid of the blemishes and acne. This is more of a long term plan, but do consider it.

    - Shimmery powder on face

With blush, you might not need a shimmer on your face, if you wear too much, you'll end up looking oily.

    - Blush

Great way to add some color to your face, but if you already have a natural flush, don't waste money on getting something you already have.

    - Shimmery eyeshadow (on top lid up to brow and in corner of eye)

This makes your eyes pop, but use this sparingly ... Or else you won't look too different in your school dance pictures than you do on a daily basis.

    - Eyeliner (I use either liquid or pencil on top only, sometimes i use a light colored pencil or eyeshadow on bottom)

Your eyeliner is fine, but if you find your eyeliner smudging during the day, I recommend going over the pencil eyeliner w/ liquid or setting it w/ black (or whatever colored eyeliner) eyeshadow to make it last.

    - Mascara on both lashes

Wiggle your mascara wand at the bottom roots as you lift up to the tips of your lashes, don't put too many coats or your lashes might look fake or even worse, fall off when you remove it!

    - Lip gloss

Depending on what kind of look you're trying to do, it's great to start off w/ a neutral nude or pink lip gloss if you're tired of clear ones. However, do be careful to enhance one feature at a time when using bold colors. If you have a bright poppy green eyeshadow on your eyes already, don't go crazy on a purple lip gloss [although I'm sure you know better than that].

In conclusion ... I don't think you even need this much stuff, but these are the tips I'm giving you if you absolutely have to wear all of this.

Since you're still young, stick with your natural beauty instead of putting all of this on your face. All I think you actually NEED is eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss, and maybe blush if you are very pale. The rest shouldn't be worn everyday, maybe every time you feel like dressing up (a weekly thing). Because you're still young, don't get into makeup too much or spend a lot of time on your face. It is a better option to focus on your school work, because by the time you're an adult, the grades will matter more to your future than you think.

  2. i say a natural pink and purple mascara i would think brown nice and natural lipgloss a soft rose color blush a natural light rosy pink shimmer powder i say loreal bare naturals they got all kinds of good natural colors i use it all the time eye liner i like brown for your age so i hope i helped take care

  3. try using a neutral powder on your face, then get an iridescent blush. that will make your cheekbones stand out more and it'll give your face good looking structure. also, some days you could leave out the eyeshadow and just use a purple or blue eyeliner and mascara. it sounds extreme, but actually looks classy and cute. hope this helped! =]

  4. chapstick.

    enjoy your day, love.

  5. The only thing I wore at 13 was eyeliner and lip gloss. Cut the blush and if you absolutely HAVE to wear it only brush on a little bit. You're 13 so you still have the baby cheeks. If you have zits to hide I recommend you go to "Faces" make-up store and buy the foundation and powder. I promise you it will not clog up your pores even when it's 107 outside. I have problems with acne right now because I'm pregnant and I hesitated to buy it but it was the best foundation I've ever bought. Have them pick out your color.

  6. Don't put on alot of makeup and wear light and bright colors.

  7. Yup, I have a tip.

You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not.  You also may think this is "rude" But I don't intend it to be.  Here it is:

Don't wear make-up at 13. One of the most  beautiful girls I'm ever known wouldn't wear any make-up till she was 16 and even then, it is still EVERY little... only like eye shadow was all I think.  She's 17 now.

At 13, you don't NEED to.  You just think you have to in order to "fit in" or to be "beautiful" according to how others want you to.  So in a way, you're being controlled if you think you have to.

    :)

    Don't worry about it!

  8. I would think all you should ever wear at 13 is mineral powder to control shine, lip balm or clear gloss, and maybe mascara.  You don't need all that you are wearing now!  If you get a pimple use a concealer with salicylic acid in it, it will heal as it hides.  =o)

  9. hahaha. why don't you just wash and moisturize your face and be happy?
