  1. What you have been told is true!! My first child was born c/s, and my last 2 were repeat c/s.....it is  difficult to find a doctor these days that would be willing to do a v-bac becuase of the liability...there is a much larger risk for the child having Cerebal Palsy when doing a v- back, there are more risks period with a v-back and due to the huge spike in malpractice insurance most docs prefer not to risk it.....

I will offer some "support" so to speak though...with each of my next 2 c/s it was easier and recovery time seemed to be much faster.

Hope that I was helpful to you...best wishes and Congratulations!

  2. I have not had a v-bac and will be having my second via C-section, but I have done research on it.

There are several factors why a doctor might tell you that you can't have a v-bac.  My doctor told me we could talk about it, but my husband wants me to go for the C-Section, and there are some benefits that I like I've agreed, but if I go into labor before who knows I might change my mind.

    1.  How the first C-sections incision was done.  Vertical/horizontal.  Usually if it wasn't an emergency (really quick.)  Than you should have a safer incision.   Your doctor should be able to tell you what kind of incision was used.

    2.  Insurance reasons, some doctors won't do them because there is a higher risk according to them and insurance companies.  In my area there are some hospitals that won't let them happen.

    3.  And the mother's previous history.  High-risk problems etc.

If you want a V-Bac check with your doctor, and even doctors and mid-wives around you.  If you want that option and you can have it fight for it, I know many people who have had successful V-BACs.

  3. not true its just suggested that you should have a c-section for your other children ... for example if u had ur baby this year and if u have another baby within idk 2 years ur scar may pop thats what they say ... but i highly suggest you try to give birth normaly for your other children because there will be pain just as you are about to give birth and during birth but after that you're fine ... however after a c-section there will always be more pain and complications =/
