I'll bite.. just curious why a few I.D.'s have a resentment for female fans?

Why is it assumed females couldnt possibly have decent imput to aussie rules?

I'm pretty sure females watch the same games as the males do, and there IS female footy leagues..

Feel free to inlighten me..

But try to do so with an intelligent answer with reason not just name calling..

  1. I have an issue with women who turn up to these games or watch them from home, and ruin the spectacle of a good game of football with remarks like, "oh holy ****, he's a spunk!" and "man I'd tap that anyday" and "he must be a d**n fine baker! Look at those buns!"

It sickens me. WATCH THE GOD DAMNED FOOTBALL!

  2. No.

  3. Just tell 'em to "get stuffed", love!

  4. No i don't

but i have a problem with female commentators

  5. I think that many females, like you and I can have valid, decent opinions on footy. We may not play or coach, but we can analyse a game just as well as males, and we have a right to be involved in footy as supporters, members, board members, trainers, etc.

But I do agree that those questions asking for 'the hottest player' are irritating, and I can see where some of you are coming from.

  6. Only the immature ones that come in here & ask questions such as ; Who is the hottest AFL player?.......Jeez, I've seen that question appear in here so many times I've nearly spewed!

  7. It's not that the males have an issue with female AFL fans in general - it is just a few that post in this section who THINK they know EVERYTHING!

There is one in particular, a regular of this section, & look out if you disagree with her or say anything unflattering about Collingwood. She becomes as nasty as a cut snake. That is the female part that males have an issue with.

Of course we must have female fans to accompany us to the football. Who else is there to run & get our beers, hamburgers & drive us home after the game?

EDIT: Sharma, no I was not referring to the person you mentioned.

  8. Some on here do but the majority don't I haven't had a problem and if I don't like their question I don't bother answering it that goes for male and female.

  9. **I think females have just as valid and important comments as males do.

It's annoying that just because we're female though we're not expected to know much about footy.**

  10. i hope not!!

i don't think its right if they actually play in a league or as girl commentators,  I'm a girl and i think its just plan wired. But it absolutely fine to be a fan, i do however don't like it when girls only go for the watching the guys,  i love game!! & there just a bonus. it is allways going the be a mans game for the playing sence and thats fine, but girls have everyright to be a fan.

Girls Can't Play Football: if your talking about "Lozz... pies girl" i dont think any one has a promblem with her.

  11. I know and agree like i knoe heaps about footy and as soon as you say something a boy doesnt know they are just like okay then.....i think its jelousy cos they didnt know the answer. its so sexist!

  12. Its has something to do with us females threatening their male egos.

Its a fact that just as many females attend footy matches as males.  We have just as much knowlege an in sight, but some males of this forum feel as though we are not worthy of providing our opinions and knowledge of footy because they are sexist and it makes them feel inferior.

I dont care anymore, I have followed footy passionately for over 30 years and have just as much right to provide imput to this forum as any male.

  13. Female fans are fine, most guys think girls know nothing about footy but don't even bother too ask them. Girls should be involved in clubs as they get very passionate and supportive around there club. Women have the right to be apart of the football world! Also Lozz.... go pies probally answers the questions better then 60% of the blokes on the site so leave her alone Girl's cant play football!!!!

  14. Tishee, how often have you noticed that the "men"who diss women are those who've been rejected by them as weak/obese/dumb/oafish etc?

Anyone who enjoys football and wants to learn is welcome to put something on this answers panel. Sometimes they're straight men.We don't say " because you can't appreciate Buddy's glutes you know nothing about football!"

A good footy player is a thing of beauty, we just have different ways of describing him.

We all hold up the same Telstra roof!

  15. As long as they watch the game from the Kitchen, I dont care.

  16. If they know what they are talking about i don't give a rats what s*x they are.

My only problem is with the ones who have not played and talk like they know what it's like, it'd be like me talking about netball, i have watched my daughters career  and do comment on the game, but i also ask what was that for etc, fouls and such, I'm not too proud to ask, so yeah girls who think they know the game annoy me, as do the blokes who haven't played,  i just don't suffer fools too well.

  17. Sport used to be a males only domain, but then females got cluey about footy & cricket etc & the mummas boys can't handle it! they've lost the only thing they had over women, their superior knowledge of sport. Sob, sob, sob! lol

  18. No, I don't.

On a similiar issue I think it's great that women's AFL is growing and getting some media coverage. I remember watching a women's game at the G a few years back before a game, it was great .

  19. lol Mate if females had nothing to do with afl and didn't go to matches i wouldnt probably go to any matches since i cant go with friends. the afl shouldnt be sexist so ya nothings gona change

  20. I grew up watching my dad play for west adelaide in SANFL and he coached my brother and i yes i played too, i was one of the first gals to play mini league for north adelaide .I am a massive footy fan more so than most of the men i know, I have a season ticket for the Crows. If anyone wants to tell me i am not a worthy footy fan then HE needs to get his club and go back to his cave.

  21. Actually Maxben I am happy to discriminate between genders for my enjoyment. But back to the football, I reckon women enjoy footy for many reasons. Remember the oohs and aahs as they ogled Warrick Capper's buns? And I reckon there's something of hero worship attaching to women's views of some blokes? And they imagine themselves being fought over?

I imagine women have a thousand reasons different from men to go to the footy. Don't try and work it out, they are from Venus, we are from Mars.

  22. um... I have to say that I haven't had anybody behave resentfully to me ...

  23. Is sexism a good enough answer? As much as everyone believes we've passed that era in history, many people are still sexist (both men and women). Men are particularly defensive about things that seem masculine, like sports.

  24. I have a problem with female fans who dont understand the rules.... the ones that are so one eyed they yell out the most ridiculous comments. At a Dockers Richmond game i went to the females fans were the worst at yelling out abuse for no reason... Especially the older ones.....

There are some great female fans who know more than some blokes, its just that the ones who dont usually seem to be the most vocal or opinionated so you notice them more...
