Question:

Anyone have any advice on purchasing a steamer?

I'm looking to buy a steamer, not for laundry in lieu of an iron, but for actually cleaning my home. Not so much a carpet steam cleaner ( I have one) but a steamer that can be used for more heavy duty cleaning. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on which brand to look for, or even where I can buy. I'm thinking about a hot steam cleaner, rather than a vapor cleaner, but I could use some insight based on experience. Thanks so much.

  1. I have a EuroPro but don't use often anymore because of the amout of distilled water I was purchasing.  I'd use a gallon or two per room for kitchen cleaning, bathroom cleaning and floor tile.  The water isn't that expensive, just a hassle to buy and lug around.  Yes, it does clean well......you need some pads for floors and walls......old white tshirts, etc work fine.  Finally I found using it in the bathroom, turn on the fan, open a window unless you want a steam room......phew!
