  1. I sailed on the Glory in May of 06 for the Western Itinerary.  I loved it.

I don't know if you have booked your room yet, but if you are prone to seasickness, be sure to book a cabin toward the center of the ship, as this gets less motion.

The floors with the dining rooms can be a little tricky to get from one side to the other, because you cannot cut through the dining room.  This sometimes causes you to have to go up one or two floors, cross the ship, then come back down to get to where you want to go.  There are only a few floors that have this problem though.

If there are any ports you tender at (meaning that you don't get directly off the ship, but have to take a smaller boat to shore), then consider booking your excursions through Carnival.  This way, you will meet your group and get off of the ship with them, instead of trying to tender in and possibly missing the excursion.  Being that the Glory is a 3000 passenger ship, it can take a LONG TIME to get off the ship at tender ports.

There is an Emerald Dining Room, which will require an additional $30 per person surcharge if you wish to dine at.  (I would never bother, being that there are 2 perfectly nice dining rooms where your meals are included.)  However, I have heard several people state that it is well worth the price.  You must make reservations for this room for dinner.  However, you can eat there at lunch time for free.

Be sure to check out Cruisecritic.com for other great cruise tips.  You can find alot more information on the Carnival Glory and all Cruise Lines.

  2. We are booked on this for October 07 and looking forward to it. We hear it's nice.

  3. I am booked on that ship in Sept for a Western Caribbean cruise.  Our vacation planner at Carnival has been trying to get us on this ship for our last three cruises.  It is his favorite out of the fleet, and he has been on most of the ships that sail out of Florida.

  4. I'm going on the Glory on June 23rd. This will be my second time on it...the Glory is without a doubt the best ship I've been on so far and the biggest ;O)

Just remember to take lots of pictures and try to soak it all it ;O) cuz it's unbelievable.
