  1. Haven't been on one yet, but they look interesting and I plan to do so in the coming months.  An interesting way to see DC!


  2. I went on a DC duck tour in mid- May, and I found that they offered little historical/cultural commentaries. The driver seems knowledgeable if you ask him the right questions, but it is not like the land hop on hop off tours. It was very chilly in May so Oct might be the same. It took under two hours. More fun for kids than adults.

I agree with Don!  I see the funny boats/trucks all over DC and it does look like fun, although in all the years I've lived here I've never tried the tour.  I found a recent story in Washingtonian Magazine about the tour.  Check it out below.  Seems to validate the "fun" part, but cautions to make sure you reserve your seats.

  4. We were in Washington DC in July and we went around on our own.  When we went back to Baltimore for the night our waitress told us THAT EVERYONE should take the Duck tour it's the best way to see the city...wish we had known before!
