Anyone have any crazy stories about the front or the back of the house of a restaurant that you observed ?

Every so often the bizarre occurs due to the high pace and extreme pressure . If you've worked for the food service than your chances are even better at having an experiance.

wow to things i've just read!  i've been in the service industry for about 10 yrs, and i wish i had a funny/crazy story to tell. the only thing i can come up with is employees smoking pot in the basement.

yeah, i've seen a lot of arguments and name calling, but nothing severe or violent!

something that happened recently was a coworker of mine had a horrible table (just plain rude as h**l to him) and when they payed told him to keep the change, which was 33 cents! so the employee (full of rage) decided to chase this couple out the door saying "sir, sir...you forgot your change" when the server went to hand it to him, the guy didn't hold out his hand, so the server just dropped the money on the ground. This set the couple off and came in and ripped the manager a new one!

And no, the employee did not get fired! Just written up.

There have been so many times I've wanted to chase after someone. Guess I should start since I know I won't get fired!!!

i saw a waitress punch a waiter in the nose, blood spilled out, he ran she chased him into th restroom. another time i was a waitress at a restaurant and a bus boy picked me up by the skin on my ribs and repeatedly slammed me into a wall ( i think he was on drugs) the cooks pulled him off me, he got fired i went to the ER . i have a lot more too been a server about 20 yrs.

The worst I can think of was a few months ago, when we went to a restaurant for the sake of not cooking. We got our food, hot fresh and on time, but halfway through the meal, a rat ran past the table and a waiter cornered it! He the proceeded to lunge for it and miss, leaving the rat to run off again, all while we where eating our meals! The rat was caught and the waiter left with the rat in his hand, only to come back 5 minutes later like nothing had happened!

Ounce me and my cousins and the kids next door were prank knocking on the back door of this Chinese food restaurant. First time they came out with a large steak knife and my young cus around 10 ran behind the restaurant with the other kid. Me and my older cus were setting across the street watching and laughing. The second time the neighbor ran behind the building well my younger cus decided to run across the road towards us. He wasn't as fast as he thought. The guy came out this time with a great big butchers knife and caught my cus. He got in trouble needless to say but it was hilarious.

I was at a fast food restaurant and there was an employee shaving another employees head back in the kitchen.  Needless to say, I have not ever ate there again and I do not plan on going there.  I called and had them reported to the inspectors.
