Anyone have any daycare recommendations for west la?

Call your local elementary schools, social service agencies, and churches.  Make a list of programs they tell you about, then call them.  Ask the programs if they are licensed and what credentials their teachers have.  Ask what schedule the children follow.  (There should be both structured and unstructured activities, and outdoor play time.)  Visit the programs and observe a class in progress.  Watch for cleanliness, teacher/child interaction, and look for smiles and obvious signs of enjoyment from the children.  And trust your intuition.  If things don't seem quite right, they probably aren't!
