  1. one you cant stick to any particular betting strategies...the top jockey will win 15 to 28 percent of the time as will the top trainer and the top trainer jockey combo will land a certain percentage of the time but also have a smaller average payoff...I was once told by track regulars and track rats that pick threes are the way to go because at a track with bigger fields the pick three payoffs can sometimes pay more than the win parlays from horse to horse in the sequence, also because there is one takeout of about 15 percent ...I have played with guys who come to the track and bet only one or two races...play the place heavily on a horse that figures and pays somewhere between 3 and 4.40 to place, hit or miss do not chase races and call it a day...I would always freak watching these guys because I never had that much betting disclipine...these are the guys that cause that crazy disproportional place or show payoffs when the short prices dont hit the board at all...me, Im a trifecta/superfecta/pick three player...I try to use a combination on the front of my tickets...play a handful in the middle, and load up the back...then buy the tickets a number of times...if i catch something, it could be a great day...if not you run out of your playing stake pretty fast...probably the best and easiest strategy is to bet win and  place watch the race and not have to wait on a second third or even fourth horse to see if youve cashed a ticket...no, I take that back, the easiest strategy would be to take that money, put it in the bank and that way you know youre getting a return for sure...just say you played the races all day, have a drink, relax and call it good...(I could never do that...Im an action junkie...lol)

  2. play jockeys not horses,,,

  3. Bet a big favorite to win or place on the first race. If you can double your money on the first race, stick your initial bet back in your paocket and play of the tracks money (your winnings).

  4. there are many stratgies out there. some work and some dont. but there are some very good systems on the market today that actually work. ive tried a couple myself and was amazed at the results we pulled in.

but i dont gamble much as it can end up being costly if your not careful.

more info on systems and software can be found at

they review the top 5 products online and always updated.

  5. len p, above me knows what he's ************* doing, read the form divvy, it's the only way to understand the horses abilities

  6. I would go for football betting..........................you will have better chances

  7. I bet on the jockey, of course,! then the horse should have a good build, sound legs, and if the bandages on the horses are on their legs for about the fourth or fifth race they race in, that sometimes means they have a problem!!! not always though!!!

  8. i read strategy guides, read horse background, read jockey background, check the weather, the location of the race, ect if your in2 reading then this might interest u for horse racing http://workathomeproviders.com/Horse_Bet...

    good luck

  9. Forget the odds board, since it just shows where the fans are putting their monies.

Buy the Daily Racing Form at the track and use the "in briefs" that appear beside each runner for a race. It gives you a capsule version of information concerning the runners past success and failures & good angles going into the race.

And - most of all - go to the track with your wagering dollars in one pocket and the DRF program dollars in another & leave the rest at home. Once you hit your limit of amount you wanted to wager, then simply go home or watch the races for entertainment.

  10. I bet on the jockeys rather than the horse.  I figure the world's top jockeys will not ride an old nag.  It works pretty well.

  11. read the racing form look at past races, sped figures, breeding etc.
