Anyone have any good theme ideas for a males 50th surprise birthday party?

It is going to be a family afair so keep the ideas family oriented.

Have a 50's party, everybody should dress like it's the 1950's. Play 50's music and have a sock hop!! You could serve diner food like fries & hot dogs, hamburgers & shakes.

Get out your poodle skirt and have your man slick back his hair & roll his jeans....

Just did a 60th BDparty and it was retro theme.  Had mirror ball, 50's to current music, trophies for best costumes male & female and trophy for jiving contest.  Hung 45 rpm records from the ceiling, rented a popcorn machine with the little bags and handed out, had cars on the tables (old style plastic) and tied the birthday balloons to it. FABULOUS

Or Jimmy Buffet Theme margaritas and cheeseburgers in paradise

Or Mexican Fiesta, with mariachi music and Mexican food
