Anyone have any good wedding dress choices for plus size brides?

I'm helping a friend of mine plan her May 2009 wedding. (I am engaged, but not ready to "tie the knot" any time soon.) She hasn't been able to find a dress she likes, we've scowered the internet and it's still a toss up, she likes the ruffled/gathered bottoms (I don't know what they are called) but I can't find any pictures of what they look like on p/s brides and most bridal stores/boutiques don't offer too many styles in p/s (to actually try on). Any ideas are welcome.... it's going to be an indoor church wedding if that helps.

If what you are referring to is a pick-up skirt, she should not wear that. She should be going for a traditional, classic a-line style.

surf the net for shops with wedding dresses for plus sizes. my mom is a plus size, and she got her dress off of a catalog online, (i forgot the site) but that was in '94, but she says that her friends, (who are also plus size) always find websites that have wedding dresses in plus sizes.

www.ebay.co.uk chinese dressmakers do copies of hollywood gowns at a fraction of the cost and the sizes are 4 - 32.

Just check onto ebay and type in bridal gown it will take you to lots of these dressmakers but check out their feedback first before you commit.
