I really dont want to send the usual wedding invite. My colors are magenta and chocolate. Probably about 75 invites, so do-it-myself wont be a problem. The traditional invites are just BORING!

  1. you could make personalized candy bars for your reception depending on what time of year you are sending out  ( that would take care of your chocolate and use magenta coloring)

or a message in a bottle.. this website has some cool designs too

  2. These are mine:

You can buy any color bow to go on them.  I got tons of compliments on how no one had seen anything like them and how cute they are.

  3. fill empty wine bottles with personalized m&ms in magenta and brown (put u and ur fiances names or the date of the wedding on them) and make ur own labels with all the wedding info... unique and a good keepsake :) u can use ur wedding colors on the label, maybe use scrapbooking paper or something that catches ur eye and mail them out to guests... it will definitly be memorable

    congrats!!

  4. Type in nontraditional wedding invitations or modern wedding invitations into a search engine and see if you can "borrow" ideas that you like from those results to plan your own. I went your route and ordered recycled card stock from www.jampaper.com and matching envelopes and did my own.

    Good luck to you!

  5. Try www.poshbetty.com or www.blissink.com.  They have some great designs that I'm sure you could replicate yourself.

Find some scrapbook sheets with a design you like and then print the invite on there.  Or make it it interesting shape rather than the usual card shape.  Bliss Ink had an invite that folded open on all four sides and the invite was circular.

  6. I love the daisy look!! You print the text and cut them into petals, punch a hole in the middle and tie them all together with a ribbon ... they all open up like a fan.... one petal for location, one petal for date, etc etc.  :)
