  1. YES!!  The MSN Vascular Birthmark Support site is wonderful!  It has a lot of information, plus the families that post there are a wealth of knowledge regarding hemangiomas and other vascular anomalies.

    The website is:

    http://groups.msn.com/vascularbirthmarks...

Also, try the Vascular Birthmark Foundation website at:

    http://www.birthmark.org

Although many hemangiomas do go away (involute) on their own, some require treatment.  The websites above will give you a lot of information about what is available, and the top places to go for help.

  3. you can do a google search and get lots of info. My 8 month old has a few:  one dime-sized one on her cheek that is starting to shrink and fade, two tiny tiny ones on the side of her stomach that have virtually disappeared, and one little splotch on her tummy that is almost gone as well.

They often disappear by the time a child is 1-2 years old, sometimes the bigger ones stay around for a little longer.
