Blue can be toned down with yellow or cream. Made more vibrant with a darker shade of blue.

Blue is an amazingly versatile colour, it goes with just about any other colour - pink; brown; grey; white.

Posters are the cheapest option for a quick make over. However, if you can get hold of some matchpots or cheap student acrylics then you can paint just about anything you want on your walls. I love painting on my walls. Find an image on the internet that you can copy if you like.

My daughter and I painted her room with green, ochre, and blue, with white puffy clouds. Why not be creative and start with one wall? Make it fun to look at. Paint is inexpensive, and you will have something unique.

~furniture- get all colorful things (like lamps,chairs,bedspread,comforter,rub) that all matches so it will be like white wall.. colorful stuff !

~modge podge- get this modge podge stuff at ACMoore. you cut out things from fashion magazines or snowboarding magazines or rocknroll magazines, whateeva ! then you put one cut out at a time on your desk and put the modge podge over it, let it dry then do the next cut out.

~poster- celebs! or like black and white NYC posters or your favorite bands?

~new furniture- light blue goes with white
