I love pink and anything girly but im inviting boys too i really want a costume party... anything is appreciated....

Well i would do PINK party.. everything pink... even the people who come need to wear something pink! Its Fun to see boys wear pink... they like it they just wont admit to it! Or i would do a tiki party... very cheap and places always have stuff for them!

Go to a party supply store and get ideas from there.  That will help spark some ideas and at least that way you know that you'll be able to find the decorations to fit your theme.  Nothing worse than picking a theme and not being able to find decorations for it!

Theming Your Room For a 70s Costume Party

So now lets give you some ideas to theme your 70s party.

Think 1970s and you think tacky! Lava lamps have recently made a bit of a comeback, so have a look around as these lamps will look great.

Glitter curtain is a fairly cheap way to cover walls, or to put in a door frame to create an impacting entrance.

Glitter balls are available to purchase cheaply and will help create a 'disco' feeling.

Bean bags scattered around will help to create a less formal atmosphere.

i would go with mexican theme because you can pretty much do anything when your mexican girl or boy and bring lots of kegs of beer and wear sombreros

Have a Candy theme. It can incorporate the pink/girly thing, but what guy doesnt LOVE candy? You can decorate with balloons, garlands, big styrofoam balls hanging from the ceiling in different gumball colors, big lollipops, Hershey Kiss Rose Bouquets, you can have a candy "bar" with lots of interesting shaped jars/dishes filled with different colored candies, with little takeout boxes for people to fill and take home...you can hand out candy necklaces, candy watches/bracelets, ring pops, etc for people to wear, or you can have them dress up in candy colors, lots of bright colors....Did you ever see Americas Next Top Model a few seasons ago where they had a photo shoot as different candy/sweets, like candy cane, chocolate, birthday cake, cotton candy, etc...you could do a take on that and you and your close girl friends could kinda dress up like that (actually i think on the shoot they were naked lol!) but you get what I mean. It would be so fun, people love candy. Get fun ones like Pixie Sticks, Pop Rocks, Gummy rats/spiders/etc (for the boys lol!) and cute retro lolipops, etc. Music...doesnt HAVE to be candy themed, but that song I want candy, I think Fergie or Christina Aguilera had a candy themed song....anyway, you could even have a little place where people could play candy land! Maybe even go old school and get a pinata filled with candy. Guys would love that too, to show off their brute strength for the girls! Have fun!

A good idea would be to stick to the number ‘16' as the party theme. Get all your supplies to match the number. Your guests are sure to find it cool if you hang sixteen balloons, keep sixteen items in the menu, and have sixteen gifts in the favor bag. You can even keep your guest list to sixteen couples, or girls aged sixteen only. 16 tiny birthday cakes surrounding a bouquet can serve as a great centre piece.

Girls of this age are generally crazy about make up.Your girl friends are sure to thank you if you arrange a make over party.A salon party would be just as great if you can afford it. Pamper the young guests with massages and pedicures and let them be the beauty queens for the day! .If you are a  mall freak take out on a shopping spree on your birthday. You can treat the guests with pizzas, ice cream sundaes, sub sandwiches, sodas, and such other teenage food at the mall food counter.

Dance parties would do great if it’s a co-ed party. Decorate the place with disco lights and mirror balls. You can even take the guests to a nearby nightclub, or hire a DJ to your place.

Beach parties are always fun in summer. Beach games and good beach music to dance to would make the party something a 16 year old would love.

The sixteenth birthday alsowould be fun to celebrate in a movie hall with pop corns and goodies to much at as you watch a recent hit.

The 16th birthday is of course a special day so plan your birthday party carefully and have it as you wish.
