Anyone have experience with an engine failure in a Beech 18? Is there any climb?

I did indeed mean single engine rate of climb. Also any chance of maintaining altititude on one engine with a beech with the non-feathering props?

  3. Yes and there is not much. It depends on how hot it is and how heavy the airplane is. Under the best of circumstance the climb is minimal and under the worst it is a slow controlled descent.

  4. I think the question is referring to single engine rate-of-climb.  I too have heard the Beech 18 is a dog on 1 engine.
