help, please. need good driving dirctions from Charles De Gaulle airport to Ste. Mere Eglise in Normandy.

  1. The best way to get there is to drive south to the peripherique in Paris and take the A13 northwest to Caen.  If you drive north from Roissy (the airport) you will have to go through Rouen and it takes you too far east).  On the peripherique ( the circular highway that surrounds Paris) go west and exit at Porte Maillot and it will take you to the A13.

    Once you hit Caen, I would suggest the N13 to Ste. Mere Eglise, but if you aren't in a hurry - take the D514 (the coast road) to see some of the historic D-Day Beaches at Arromanches (Mulberry Harbour).  Bayeux is not far from the D514 (about 10 minutes) and is a great town to visit.
