  1. Selling Discount Cards, Silent Auctions, Bachelor and Bachelorette Auctions, Wine and Cheese, Big Fancy Dinner with entertainment...high priced tickets, garage sales, bake sales, chocolate sales, car washes, christmas tree chipping, ralley, dancathon, musical show...comedy show, any type of show you can sell tickets too.  penny drive, raffle tickets...to name a few.

  2. Since your a dance studio why don't you have dances.  You could offer free lessons the night of the dances.  You could have themed dances like one night country western, hip hop, salsa, etc...  You could also get In & Out Burgers or some other food chain that does fundraisers to come sell food at the dance.  Just let them know that this is a fundraiser and they will give you a portion of the proceeds from the food sales.  You could also have 50/50 drawings at the dance where you sell a ticket the winner gets half and you get the other half.  You could also have a drawing for free dance lessons.  All you would need is a good DJ, some good flyers, a roll of tickets and a little bit of decorations.  Charge a small fee to get in.  If your fundraiser is fun then more people will attend.  Dinner and dancing would be fun for everyone and help build your business as they would see the studio and your dancers.

Another thing you could do is a dance marathon.  You could charge a small entry fee.  If you want you could have participants try to get donations and the person with the most donation brought in wins a prize.  Last one standing wins a prize.

You could also do a skance.  That's 2 hours skating & 2 hours dancing.  You would ask your local skating rink to see if you could rent the rink for this type of event.  Again you could have drawings.

You could also put on a version of your show.  Sell tickets and ask for donations.

I have many other ideas that you could do but I think these would be the most beneficial to your cause and your business.

Remember the key to a successful fundraiser is if it's fun for everyone involved.  The more fun it is the better chance that people will attend the next fundraiser.

  4. you can do a tupperware fundraiser.  you get 40% of your total sales (this is a really good fundraiser, i am the fundraising coordinator for my kids' school and it's the best i've seen that you can actually make more than a few hundred dollars at).  it's a product with a lifetime warranty that is well known.  many other "traditional" fundraisers are junk stuff that needs to be refrigerated or ridiculously overpriced for what it is ($12 wrapping paper).  any other fundraiser would require alot of physical effort or volunteer time (garage sales require people to donate stuff and then people to tag the stuff and run the sale, a fundraising dinner requires planning and if you want a dinner/auction that's even more planning and you need to get stuff donated for the auction, and a golf tournament is actually even more planning than the dinner/auction).  i've been involved in all different types of fundraisers and i've seen what works and what doesn't for different sizes of organizations and different groups of people (fundraising for my kids' school is not even close to my first experience with running fundraising).  i suggest the tupperware fundraiser because it's easy and pays whether you have $150 in sales or $15,000 in sales, you can't lose.  you can also do several over the course of a few months, so people who order early get their stuff but you have several months to raise the money.  other fundraisers pay on a tier system, the more you sell the more you get to a cap of 35% and you only get one shot in a given time period.

i have lots of ideas, not just the ones here.  if you want more info/details on ones i listed or want a brainstorm of other ideas, you're welcome to email me.  i would be happy to help you no matter what fundraiser you choose.  it's my calling, tupperware or not.
