Just wondering if anyone down in the states has any reports of how hives are doing. I'm up north and It might be a few days 'till we can get a true look at how many made it through winter.

A lot of the apiarists here have been giving new food sources to the bees in the winter months. Hoping it makes a difference.

And yes. I have posted this under agriculture. Anyone who can't understand why shouldn't even be posting here.

  1. Heard lots of hypothesis but I think the jury is out. One is that some agriculturists were renting foreign bees from places like China, and an unnatural virus was introduced.  Another was that UV is on the rise with ozone hole problems, and this was messing them up.  Then some said the bees just got tired and went on strike.  Spiritualists said they got raptured,

  2. I'm no expert, but have a couple of hives. It may be a little early to tell for sure, Kentucky, but the trees and flowers are blooming, and the hives seem active. I'm hoping that the die off has run it's course and the hives can return to normal strength. Best of luck to you.

  3. This disorder has been caused by a virus imported from Australian bees .some scientists and researchers are putting forth a new theory that the radiation given off by cell phones and other high-tech gadgets is interfering with bees' navigation systems. The signals from nearby cell phone towers are preventing the bees from finding their way back to their hives. Read more from web below
