Anyone have suggestions on things we can add as far as activities to increase the fun for our group members?

We only have 3 members, including myself, who actively participate. We would like more members too, but that's another story on another channel....lol

What fun activities do you have in your groups?

Since you have only 3 members, I hope you have tee-shirts

with you members logo on it. That is a good way to let folks know that you exist. Give cake bakes together, fish fry's, car washes, candy sales, b-b-que sales to build funds. Then advertise a Deal or No Deal function to give away money. But you'd have to sell tickets to the function, of course. Like $3. a ticket or something like that. Or do a "Going Green" sale with things you have recycled yourselves, out of paper bags, plastic bags, 2 liter soda bottles, bleach containers,etc.

We've had a prize for best photo, a contest for losing weight,  meetings for Happy Hour, fund raising for a local charity to name a few.

First of all you'll need to advertise your group to get more members because if you're playing games or doing other things to get the group going it won't work...Take it from someone who's been there.

How to advertise your group: Go to Yahoo groups and put in search Advertise your group or advertising your group this should give you a few choice...Make sure that the group you join to advertise has more then 100 members and that is open to the public.

When you have about 10 members then you can play games such as Bingo, Question of the day, you can have a debate on a subject,.

Here's one thing i like to do in my groups and it's a great way to know all of your members.

1. Tell me 5 things about you? : This is easy all they have to do is tell something about themself that the group don't know about them.

2. I have a game that is called "The HotSeat" game which is another great thing to get to know your members.  Here's the rules if  you want to do it.

You choose a member to be in the "Hotseat" then for the whole week she/he has to answer 3 questions per post only but make sure it's not personal questions since many members don't like these kind of questions.

Here's are a few questions to get you started:

What would you have with you if you were stuck on a deserted island? What is one of your pet peeve that really does bother you? What is your most favorite thing to snack on? What do you do to relieve stress? What is your favorite color? What do you like to do in your spare time? Etc...
