  1. Be patient and stay calm. This way you are morelikely to take in what you are studying. Use the DVD/CD ROM  and just sit answering the multiple choice questions for an hour or so each night. These are more or less the exact questions which appear in the tes. After a hile you will be able to recognise a question and think oh that goes with that answer. That's what I did for the multiple choice and got 34/35. I still don't know breaking distances to the exact number, its just all about judgement.

  2. This may sound a silly suggestion but if often works.

Visualise things you have to remember with something ridiculous, say like the red triangle symbol with a dear crossing, replace the image in your minds eye with an old dear (woman) with blue and pink hair instead. The dafter the better.

It doesn't matter if you can't visualise things in your head very well just pretend that you can and you'll be remembering stuff in no time.

  3. go gonto the dvla theory website you cna take 2 practise tests and see how many your getting. keep doing them until your geting over enought answers to pass. i found this helped me very much. i failed my test 5 times until i discoverd this. and then i pased xx

  4. get a copy of the highway code bedtime reading and get someone to test you

  5. i used a site called 2pass.co.uk (you might want to google it) it gave you a daily mock test, which really helped me, as it give the answers, so you no where you went wrong,

Unfortunatly you have to study everything as the tests are random but this site helped me, it also helped my sister and friends too,

If your not already, take practical lessons it helps more by doing,

    Good Luck

  6. honestly, dont worry about it mate.  just read and you will remember more than you think.  the more you worry about it the worse it will be.

the book and the dvd are fine.

  7. Maybe its because your studying while concentrating on all the practical things you learn while driving. I am taking my driving lessons now and am studying for my theory i have a copy of the highway code and a book with the theory questions i go thru the theory question book and any answers i have got wrong i am writing them in a memo pad so i can read where i went wrong and have the correct answer under it x Hope this helps you as its helping me loads x

I also try and do this at night i feel for me personally it sticks in my subconscious more x

  8. I took my theory test 2 weeks ago and i passed it first time. I can honestly say that is wasnt as difficult as i thought it would be. I dont know if it was my test but alot of my Qs were about how to be more enviromentally friendly and the rest of the Qs are fairly straight forward. But beware on the hazard perception that you dont click to much. A couple of my clips were cancelled because i clicked to much. Dont bog ur mind revising just read small amouts of the highway code at a time and get some one to ask you random Qs throughout the day
