I am going on a cruise where I need a lot of dressy outfits. There are no irons in the rooms and they are not allowed to be brought. My dresses will be in a garment bag but I am still nervous of wrinkles. Also I have skirts and capris that will be in my suitcase...any suggestions on how best to pack to keep things the least wrinkled would be great. Also any suggestions on how to dewrinkle without an iron would be helpful.

  1. Roll them instead of folding them.  That works for me.

  2. Before you pack them, spray them with a water spray thing. DO NOT SOAK THEM! Just make sure they're damp. Then put them in the dryer for a little bit until they're dry. Then wipe them with your hands, fold them, and pack them up.

  3. This website shows you how to pack in neat orders and ways so you dont get things wrinkled.

  4. Roll 'em up. works great.

    Hot shower/ steam 'em

  5. First off, don't FOLD anything!

Roll everything up instead (folding looks neat, but it presses in the creases of the fold).

Of course, if you're hanging things, just leave them on hangers.

Second: go to your dry cleaners and ask for a bunch of the cheap plastic bags they put on your clothes. Most will give these to you free, but even if they charge a few bucks for 5 or 10 of them, it's worth it.

Put every hanging garment in it's own plastic bag.

Third: Pack as last-minute as you can -- oganize the night before, but put it all in bags the morning of your departure.

Fourth: Go directly to your stateroom and unpack. Get everything hung up or in drawers.

Lastly: This is harder on a ship than in a hotel, but you can hang what you're going to wear in the bathroom while shower. There's enough steam to release some wrinkles.

ALSO: There are non-aerosol sprays that elease fibers. Wrinkle Spray is always in my suitcase. I buy it onlne, so just googe it.

    Good luck, and Bon Voyage.
