Anyone hear about the Junior High school in Friendswood Texas?

where the principal brought in Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to deliver a presentation about Islam.

The principal then got fired for it since none of the parents where notified and it was not approved by the school board.

What do you know and think about this?

The only thing I have heard is that a lot of parents got angry.  There are some good websites to look at.  For the local news look at the Houston Chronicle.

i think the principal shouldve kept his job because he was tring to teach the kids about ilsamic culture which is good because not every muslim or islamic peroson in a terrorist. and at my school alot of islamic kids are mad efun of because everyone thinks theyre terrorists. but i would have done to teach the kids about that

I do think the Principal should have been fired.

-Everything- must be approved by the school board. If the school board didn't approve, I don't know why he went through with it.

The reaction would've been the same if the Principal wanted to have a speaker talk about ANY religion. Christianity, Buddism, whatever. That's why religion and school needs to be separate.
