  1. I just ordered a Nintendo Wii from them, and they sent me a UPS tracking # that it has shipped.  There are selling them for only $189, so I'm a little skeptical, but they use Google Checkout to process their orders, so at least you get some protection.  I called the phone number listed on their website (http://www.a1soundsolutions.com/index.ht... and got an answering machine that stated the business name.

    The site lists them as:

    A1 Sound Solutions

    1462 Lake Bradford Rd.

    Tallahassee, FL 32304-4752

    850-228-6592

    Monday - Friday  9:00am - 7:00pm

    Saturday  10:00am - 6:00pm

They seem legit, but I still am keeping my fingers crossed!

  2. I just ordered 2 Nintendo Wii's and received a confirmation # saying they were shipped too. I hope they they are a real company...now days you can never tell! We haven't received anything yet. The price of $189 was so good that we ordered 5 more Wii's....but then we received an e-mail from Google saying that  the ordered was canceled by Google.

I have called and left messages to A1...and now the mail box is full! I tried getting on their website....and now it's not coming up! I have a sick feeling in my stomach about this.  Has anyone ordered from A1 before? Does anyone know what's going on with them? Please help.

    June 19th-

A1 is such a scam! BEWARE! I agree----what is Google doing to avoid these cons? If Google is going to be putting their name on the "security of placing an order"....then Google should hold some accountability!

  3. That's kinda weird. I ordered on the 13th and have already gotten it billed to UPS (no shipping it yet mind you but yeah). I'm crossing my fingers that everything pulls through and that I'll have a Wii sometime soon.

I actually contacted the Google help center just a minute ago. I am hoping they can point me to a link with a bunch of awesomely positive feedback for this place so I don't feeling like I just got conned or anything. Google should have some record of them as a seller, I hope.

If I hear back from them, I'll post the link or whatever they send me.

  4. I also ordered a Nintendo Wii on June 14. I got an email stating that my order been refunded. I tried calling them and it went to message.

  5. Hi, I ordered on on June 12, and received a confirmation and now there is no web page and the answering machine is full.  I sent a message to google and I am waiting for there response.  It has already been charged to my credit card.  The phone number is a cell phone number I found out.  Hopefully it will come.  UPS says they received a slip but no package to mail as of 6/18/08.

  6. I placed an order for a Pioneer Blu-Ray player on 6/12.  They charged my credit card on 6/13, but did not ship that day. I requested an order status update and received an e-mail 2 days later saying everything is good.  But it isn't.

I strongly believe this company is pure scam and shame on Google they did not research properly before this conmpany was accepted for Google Checkout.  This makes me think Google Checkout does not provide any protection from scammers.

3 days ago I asked to cancel my order, and have not heard back from them since then.  I called my American Express today and disputed the charge indicating they never shipped, and that I canceled the order 3 days ago.  They took it off my bill, however, there is a grace period between 6 - 8 weeks for research.  If indeed it turns out A1 is a scam I just hope Amex will retrieve the money, i.e., I won't get re-charged in 6 - 8 weeks.

I experienced the same: Voicemail box is always full and their Web site has been down for at least 12 hours now.  This cannot be a respectable company in my opinion.  Again, shame on Google!

It's official, this company is a complete scam! - I checked with Whois.net and found out they registered their domain 2 weeks ago probably with the sole purpose of scamming.

Anyone knows how to contact Google Checkout?
