  1. If any modelling agency asks for money it's a con... don't send them money.

Also don't meet with anyone from social networking sites, sounds very dodgy.

If you're serious about modelling register on these sites.

    www.starnow.com

    www.modelmayhem.com

  2. Hi, my friend James is a model on their site and he has done a few jobs in Oxford.  I agree you shouldnt pay up front to join an agency but when they offer a full money back guarantee if they dont find you work then I dont think you can go wrong really.

Worth a try if you can get your money back if they dont find you work.  Your far worse off joining an agency that doesnt offer a refund as there will be no insentive to get you work.  I guess model me is going to have to try and find you paid modelling work or they will have to give you their money back!

Im not going to join tho, its not really my thing although I hear they do TV extras!

  3. It's a con.  I had an email too yesterday asking the same thing.  They just want your bank details.  If you look on google, msn, ask jeeves, you will not find a link to their website.  I have decided that it's a con to get your bank details, cause that's what you have to do to register!!!  I'm not going to touch it with a barge pole!

  4. Scam - sorry love.  If they ask you for money, they are dodgy.  The idea with modelling is they pay YOU

  5. Sounds like a scam to me.  Any company that asks for money up front is likely to be dodgy.

No reputable company who wants to use you and your face should be paying you to be exclusive to them or earn money in commission from getting work for you.

I'd be very very VERY careful about parting with your money on this.

  6. A simple check who-is shows the site was only registered 30 Aug 2007 yet a testimonial ( Phill Lovett) claims he's working for  them in 06
