A few years ago a guy walked into Starlite Cafe and Billiards and offered this challendge: For a bet of 5-hundred dollars he would 3-rail kick all 15-balls into the same corner pocket. He would take the cue ball behind the head string and the rack of 15 balls on the spot and go from there. And he said he would do it in 15-minutes or less.I don't have to tell you the players gave this a lot of consideration. Then someone spoke up and said he would take the bet. Then the hustler changed his tune. He would do it but now he wanted 30-minutes - not 15 as he stated earlier. Now no one took him up on it. When I got home I had to try it. I have an 8-foot table (because my basement isn't big enough for a 9-footer). I did it twice - but it took me 32-minutes both times. If I can almost do it, there's no question he could have done it in 30. Fifteen might have been tough. But we'll never know. What do you think?
