The school is called Rochester Institute of Technology its in Rochester,NY. I was wondering if its a college for the deaf/hard of hearing or for people who are not disabled/handicapped. Or both people could go there. Not to offend if I used the wrong term.

  1. Since the school receives federal financial aid, I believe they are required to fully accommodate both students.  They would apply for the college as a "regular" student and then register with the office that serves disabled students after being accepted.  You can always call that office directly and ask about their services.  Until accepted, they can not give you a definite plan (more than likely) but they can give you examples of potential things.  Also ask what evaluations need to be on file with them before they are served.  DO ask what the housing options would be like for both students.

  2. My brother attended RIT and I believe it is for both people who are deaf and those who are not. They have a college within their school called the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Hope that helps!

  3. im not sure, but try going to the school website. they might have all the info there.
