Anyone help me with my car subwoofer setup?

hi have two choices that are in my budget i can either buy

ALPINE PDX-1.1000

Mono Power Density Digital Amplifier

&

ALPINE SWX-1243D

Type-X 12" (30cm) Subwoofer

or

Soundstream PCX2000D 2000W Class D Mono Block Amplifier

&

2X Soundstream Tarantula T5-12 12" Subwoofer

if anyone could tell me which one would hit harder and give better sound it would be great?

you could always go with 2 alpine SWR-1242.  that's their 12in type-r subs and there is nothing wrong with their type-r setups.  i have 2 10in type-r and they are amazing.  you  can also run them both off of the pdx-1.1000 amp for the same, if not less money in the end.  just sayin...

Neither, there are so many better setups in that price range. But if i had to choose I'd probably go with the alpine even though your paying mostly for the name..

My personal choice would be the alpine set up.

i would go with the alpine setup, but you never know, the soundstream may sound better under the right circumstances.

-higher RMS, Peak Watts = hits harder.   thats what i go by, hasnt failed me yet. but theres always someone to argue when it comes to this kind of stuff... so just do some research, read up on some stuff and make an educated decision.
