I've herd they are thinking of it again and are holding a meeting about it http://www.transitchicago.com/news/ctaandpress.wu?action=displayarticledetail&articleid=131029 to me it's great. It would be so much easy for me to get there and I just like the Idea of it. I can’t real think of a down side to it because you trip from Dempster would be no longer of a trip then it is now. I know it would take at lest 2 Years to move from Ideas to paper to building.

P.S. isn't it nice that it's running weekends now

  1. It would be great to strengthen the Yellow line. In the past there was always the threat of cutting the line out completely, this would insure that won't happen. I miss being 10 minutes away from Old Orchard, but I guess my bank account does not.

  2. The snooty taxpayers in that area would not use it to get to Neiman Marcus.  They would think it was too beneath them to ride on public transport.  Can you imagine the furs and jewelry on that train?   Taxpayers are the voters.  Elected officials don't want to get on the bad side of the voters.

  3. no way! that would be cool. Ive never been to Old Orchard Mall....let alone ride the Yellow Line. I think it would be cool to park at Midway Airport (way on the south side) and take public transportation way up there....they should extend it!!
