If yes what does your school do to raise money?

How many people come to your meetings?

  1. Mathathon. Kids in the school all get a paper to gather sponsers. Then each grade takes a Grade Level Math test. My kids school just started this 2 years ago because other fund raisers where not working.  Now the raise alot of money and only need this one fundraiser for the whole year. It works great. Most of the PTO meeting that I atended had aprox 20-30- people there.

  2. We have a few different fundraisers.  The big one, though, is the fall fundraiser with the catalog full of wrapping paper, gift items, kitchen stuff, etc.  We're going to offer parents a chance to just make a donation, next year, if they would rather not show the catalog around to make sales.  Of course, no one *has to* do it, but some feel guilty if they don't.  And, of course, anyone can simply donate to PTO at any time, but no one ever does unless asked.

We also do a mum sale in the fall, a poinsettia sale in December & try to at least break even with the raffles at the fun fair & the sock hop.

Our meetings average 10-15 parents each month.  Sometimes more, sometimes less.
