Anyone here live or know Colyton area of Devon - whats it like to live there? - it looked a little quiet...?

very quiet, but then the quietest places have so much hidden fun. it has a long ancient history even the grammer school was dated from 1540 or so.

IT IS VERY QUIET!

Mind you that in itself would make me itch to get there. because half the magic of a place is inside our own head.   Ha....be a bit of a move from greater London. unless you diversify into archaeology, wildlife, the unknown...etc etc...depends on where you are in life at this moment in time.

There are always hidden treasures everywhere. I am also in Devon, the other side of Dartmoor. My daughter's fiance lives near Watford, and he just can't believe the stars here, which are hidden from city eyes at home by light pollution. He spends hours looking at them, and also at the local pub, which he prefers to city ones. If it wasn't for his job, he would be here moving here like yesterday.

Compared to Greater London, everything's quiet, and some like quiet and historic and beautiful.  

But Colyton..?

Seaton's quiet (of major interest for tram and model railway enthusiasts, which may give you some idea.)

Axminster's hardly rave central.

So a small town just outside these is going to be pretty quiet, unless there's a secret enclave of Cthulhu worshippers or...
