Anyone here on CNN about the great white sighted in Marthars Vinyard yesterday and today.?

They of course closed the beaches. But everyone is interested in the sighting, because this is where the Movie Jaws was made, CNN played the music, when they discussed the story.

I haven't seen that. I live 700 miles inland, sharks don't much concern me.

Yeah, I saw that. But you have to put the story into its proper context. CNN finds regular and normal events and turns them into edge-of-your-seat stories. That's what news media does. There has been times in the past where Great Whites are seen prowling around Martha's Vineyard. It's not common, but it's not unheard of either. It's not a big deal. But CNN obviously was scrambling for something to get people to watch, and they grabbed this event to blow way out of proportion.
