Salam,

Around this time, three years ago (hijri years), around 1000 Iraqi men, women and children died in a deadly incident on this bridge in Baghdad. The coward terrorists who could not bring their bombs onto the bridge because of the security checkpoints began to spread rumours of a suicide bombing and panic quickly spread - with the checkpoints in place, it was impossible for everybody to leave the bridge quickly so there was chaos. Before the chaos, the coward terrorists had been giving out bread and water to the people on the bridge which was poisoned (the people who did this were caught and have admitted all of this on iraqi TV by the way) and when the chaos began many people were collapsing on the floor due to the poisoning. In this one incident, the terrorists were responsible for the deaths of over 1000 people - that is nearly how many Lebanese people died throughout the whole of the 2006 war with "Israel" - yet very few people remember this incident.

  1. yes, but i just googled it, havnt ever herd of it!!

  2. i do remember because i was in Baghdad back then

  3. Sad bro very sad........

The way it has been (mis)represented in the media is a sad reminder of how bad this world has gone to...

Very few people in America actually know it happened, and the few who do know actually dont seem to care....and hence the media, ever interested in posting what's happening on teenage reality shows and similar progress rather than how the poor brothers and sisters are being degraded in Iraq...

May the cowards who did so be the fodder of hellfire

May the love of muslims instill upon eachother like the light of the day

May God help muslims to help themselves without the interference of foreigners

and mostly may the hopes of the Iraqis of the world for a brighter and more enlightened future come true......

  4. yes, i didn't ask this question. today i have but no one's answering it :( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  5. Where are you getting this stuff about poisoned water or bread from.

Here is a part of an actual news report from it

    ------------

Witnesses, victims say police mistake caused panic . . .

In a dispatch posted at 3pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Kazimiyah reported that a group of witnesses there said that the immediate cause of the panic that led to the disaster was an unintentional mistake made by puppet policemen from the al-Kazimiyah police station who were deployed at the approach to the bridge.

Ahmad Hassun, one of those injured in the disaster, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the reason for the panic and stampede was that the people on the bridge were responding to the police who were trying to get them to move with greater speed so as to allow the people jamming the street to get on to the bridge more quickly.

Hassun said that the police were shouting things like, “Brothers, hurry up. There are car bombs. There are terrorists. Don’t bunch up. Hurry on. Keep moving.” But the crowds took that talk to be an actual warning of something about to happen and started to push and jump into the river. Hassun said he was hurt when he fell to the ground and was trampled by other people.

Another witness who was at the scene when the disaster occurred told Mafkarat al-Islam that after the panic started, the police themselves panicked and started shouting, “Brothers! False alarm! False alarm! There’s nothing wrong!” But the people didn’t trust the police and thought they were just trying to stay in control so they paid no attention to them.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that local residents of the area around the bridge agreed with the witnesses that there had been no armed attacks in the area, as some sources claimed, and that the whole disaster was due to an unintentional mistake by the police.

Twenty minutes after Mafkarat al-Islam reported those remarks, a source in the puppet government’s “Interior Ministry” was quoted as saying that the “Ministry” had arrested the officers and men of the police detachment that had been on duty at the approach to the bridge in order to investigate their role in sparking the incident, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

    Quit drinking Republican Koolaide.

If you check 5 different stories in Western papers their poisoning stories vary from 6 to more than 25 and are located at the Shiite Mosque, or the Sunni Mosque or on the bridge itself.

These poisonings do not appear in any local news sources or in any official reports.

In addition the western papers all talk about shelling, and return fire by US forces, which is also not in any local news sources or official reports.

The cops basically started a panic by accident, possible but not confirmed is that somebody shouted bomb and people got crushed to death in the ensuing stampede.

President Maliki made statements about how US forces mismanaged the crowd control and hampered rescue efforts.

It was a stupid disaster and a demonstration of everything that can go wrong in crowd control.

Unfortunately for your case it was not an actual terrorist attack, nor were there any poisonings.

That poor doctor often got credited for statements he never made.

Aliraquia TV is/was overseen by Dr. Alhasani the security minister and was regarded as a joke. Really nothing more than the US funded propaganda organ of the al Sadrists in the Maliki govt..
