Anyone here work at walgreens?

Question

I just filled out an online application and I did my assessment at the end. Then it said that I must go to a walgreens store to complete the assesment. My question is do I have to wait for them to call me before I go and complete my assessment or do I have to go finish the assessment before they consider me for a job. thank you

my advice would be.. call the walgreens that is closest to you and ask to speak to the EXA/hiring manager.  Then tell them that you filled out your application online but you were wondering if they were hiring.  If they aren't you can try the next closest store.. :o)

Most of the time, they would just have you finish your assessment if they are hiring...

you have to go to the store. the will never call you. i did the application like 3 times. my mom work at walgreens and i wanted to o to a diffeent store and work. but its too much trouble to get a job there, you have to do so much and a the online apps are super long.

i work at walgreens and i remember i just started filling out things online because i really needed a job and the next day i got a call to come in and fill out the assessment. i did really well on it, the manager can see your scores immediately, and he basically said i got the job that day. but you can go in and introduce yourself and say it said to fill this out....and they will let you just incase they arent hiring yet you will atleast be in the system.

I work at Walgreens (part time) and I love it. I work at the front register and trained in photo. Try to learn as much as you can about the whole store. It's a good company. I would say that you should take a copy of your resume to the local store you want to work at and ask for the Manager (weekdays - day hours) and explain your situation of wanting to complete the assessment. While you are there, scope out the attitudes of the workers. You certainly don't want to work anywhere if you're not greeted with smiles so besides letting them interview you, make sure you interview them.
