Not the TP, the regular one. How is it off of tight lies, is the footprint too big?

  1. I owned both TM Burner 3 and 5 wood and I love it. I barely hit slice or draw on both. On the tee also well it depends about your swing also. I can hit both woods 220-190 respectively.

  2. I have owned the Taylor Made Burner 3 wood for around 3 weeks.

At first I admit I was a little put off by the large head, it just seemed to be too big compared to other 3 woods I have owned.

However as you can probably tell by the fact that I have owned an awful lot of 3-woods and have never really got along with any of them I needed to try something different, I can honestly say so far so good!!

Regarding tight lies, this has more to do with your swing and actual skill at the game rather than the club (I think so, anyway) but this has proved to be a revelation which ever way you look at it, off the tee it is long and straight and from rough and even sand I have had great success, I also carry a Ping G10 4 Wood and have had great moments with that as well so my advice is: -

Buy It!! The Taylor Made Burner 3 Wood is Fantastic!!

  3. I have the 3 wood Burner and when I first demo'd the club, it was great off the tee and in rough, but like you, I thought it might be to unwieldy on a tight lie.  I had used the Adams Tight Lies 3 wood for so long, I was used to the low profile.  But this club is a screamer.  I have hit more consistent and career shots with it.  Like any club, it misbehaves occassionally (couldn't be my swing!!) but it was a great purchase.  My handicap ranges from 10 to 12.

  4. The TaylorMade woods that I tried are so great, so much so that I intend to purchase a 3W and a 5W soon. The traits that I liked are the weight and the aerodynamic shape of the clubhead. The said traits allow me to swing faster, thus better distance. I also like the height of the clubface from sole to crown which is short. The short height of the clubface means that the club's sweet spot is low and, therefore, suitable to hit off tight lies. My present fairway woods are Callaway Big Bertha Titaniums. Their clubfaces are tall. Although they are excellent when the ball is teed, they lose distance efficiency on tight lies.

  5. i HAVE THE tp FIVE WOOD And the new Tour Burner 3W. Both are my two favorite clubs. They hit well off of tight fairway, and better off of the tee. I hit the 3w farther than my driver on occasion. They are great clubs, the best on the market. 14.5 degrees of glory.

  6. No.

    Have a good one...
