Anyone in anorexia recovery? or tryign to gain weight?

anyone else in anorexia recovery feel like they eat a ton compared to everyone else?

im eating so much each day and i eat 5 times a day!

does anyone know of any really calorie dense foods so that i dont have to eat so much!!

  1. i need to gain weight as im 8 and a half stone and almost 18. So i'm going eat high protein food like chicken and fish a lot


  2. Oh, I know how you feel. But it DOES get easier. Have you tried almonds? Or any other nuts, really. You could try making yourself a smoothie with full fat milk and yogurt. Good luck!

    I was severeley underweight, but now I eat a larger variety of food and stuff but its really hard to gain weight but Im getting their slowly, it gets annoying when people assume i want to be this way and say 'u need some meat on your bones' but ive gained like half a stone and i feel really pleased with myself :)

    Try meat rich in protein or if youre a vegetarian pasta is really good!

  4. I would suggest eating 3 meals and 3 snacks throughout the day. With 3 of those meals or snacks I would suggest drinking ENSURE along with it. If Ensure is too pricey then buy some Breakfast Carnation and drink that a long with at least 3 of the times you eat.

    I know this will be hard..but do NOT exercise. Or else you will just be burning off the calories you are trying to gain. Once you are at a desired weight then you can work on lifting weights and throwing in some LIGHT cardio to tone up. You need the meat on your bones first before you can tone..because if not what is there to tone? :P

    I was, only for a little bit though.

    And my friends constantly made me eat pastas.

    Pizzas.

    Anything they could find.

    Just eat what you love.

    Mine are ice cream cheetos, pastas, and such.

    Just eat as much as you feel you should.

    Dont worry.

    As long as your eating, your going to gain some weight.
