  1. Are you measuring how many calories you are eating?

It will probably seem like a huge amount of food to you, but it might not contain many overall calories.

I recommend eating slightly bigger portions of food everyday and maybe changing some foods/drink, such as drink whole milk instead of semi or semi-skinned milk, it contains many more calories.

Nuts also contain a lot of calories and are good as a snack.

Use lots of oils like olive oil on your salads, etc.

  2. eat oreos they have like 60 calories

  3. As long as your eating low fat nutritious food, and exercising regularly then your fine. The best way to eat is -

    Breakfast

    Snack

    Lunch

    Snack

    Dinner

    Snack

It keeps your metabolism going which anorexia has slowed down. Not eating two hours before you go to sleep is a good tip too. I'm unsure why but It kinda helped me regulate my eating habits and not pig out on everything. Drinking only water is good you don't get dehydrated and when you feel hungry and you just at having some water can tell you if your stomach was tricking you or your still hungry. Drink at least 8 cups of water a day and eat lots of fruits and veggies. and no junk food. As long as your doing this you'll be fine and don't be too self conscious!

  4. U-turn bars are good, full of calories, but relatively few of them from fat. Try those shake powder deals that muscle-y dudes use to bulk up at the gym. Peanut butter, of course, is packed with calories and protein to add to lean bulk on your body. Avocados are a really fatty fruit, but they have heart-healthy, low cholesterol fat that is very filling and very healthy.

Try Toasted wheat bread with turkey, sliced tomatoes, and sliced avocado with some herb mayonnaise, a side of peanut butter crackers, and a banana at lunch, and have a protein shake for a snack later.

Eggs are really filling with a lot of protein and plenty of calories if they're scrambled.

It's no shame to eat often in your situation, but I understand that becoming anorexic is very much a byproduct of a skewed perspective of others' opinions of your body and/or eating habits. If you still feel awkward about how much you eat, examine why you feel that way. Learn to be in control of your brain and thoughts, and you'll be able to judge when you're thinking healthy thoughts, and when you're thinking in a way that could lead to a relapse of your disease.

If eating as often as you need to in order to gain a healthy amount of weight is not possible because of time constraints or what-have-you, bring weight gain or protein shakes with you to be sure that you're getting an appropriate amount of calories, vitamins, and nutrients.

Lastly, congratulations on seeking help with your disease, and I wish you all the best in your recovery!

  5. honestly, the best thing to do is eat what your doctor (or dietician, nutritionist, etc.) tell you to eat. i wouldn't follow the advice of anybody on yahoo answers who is telling you a specific meal plan. your doctor or whoever will make a meal plan specific to you.

i myself have had eating disorders for 3+ years now, and my cousin used to be anorexic. when she was in recovery she said she felt like she was eating so much, but now, healthy and recovered, she once again makes her own choices and can eat what she wants, and just enough to satisfy her.

    good luck with your recovery!

and trust your doctors, they know what's best for you!
