  1. that is a pretty good flyer. i have seen forums where they talk about how to get lawn jobs and a nice flyer is one of the best ways if u take it door to door in your target neighborhood.

getting jobs all in one neighborhood is good for cutting down on commute expense and time as well.

i read once a boy got 6 jobs after going to a hundred houses. also i have read that if u have lawn mowers and stuff then you should be making about $50 an hour or so. You can get advice on that stuff at professional landscapers forums, they have subfourms just for guys who are first starting out:

    http://www.lawncafe.com/forumindex.php?

    http://www.lawnsite.com/

one thing i have read at those forums is it can be good to use newspaper ads. so maybe it is good to do online ads too, like you tried to do here, except at a place where there are actually people from your town instead of california like me. a good free online ad place is "craigs list":

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=craigs+...

also you can lots of times make one at your local newspaper, like they will charge you to print one in the newpsaper but they will let you do a free one at their online newspaper.

a good place to hang flyers in town is at places where there are people who either like yards a lot or else cannot care for their yard themselves. like plant supply places, home/hardware supply and pharmacys/medical centers/senior centers.

County Social Services or social security might tell you about home care programs where you can leave your name; like sometimes the government pays folks to do home work for disabled people.

sometimes i tell kids to hang their flyers at car parts stores so they can try and trade their labor for old cars.

about your flyer..you should not say you are already thinking of missing appointments. i know you do not think it is coming out that way but it's better if you remove that part. Also, your informal first person speaking style is okay and kind of charming but it's a little too much. Like you say "I charge average of 20 bucks" <<that is too loose and informal..it needs to be more proper or people will think you to be illiterate/hard to communicate with or possibly unreliable or sloppy. and i am not being cruel or nothing dude, i am just telling you how it is. so and correct the punctuation and such too because old folks who are unused to the internet find it hard to read.
