Anyone in the Los Angeles county w/knowledge know how?

Im going to be volunteering at USCUH pretty soon. I want to save my parents gas money by taking metro or another cheaper form of transportaion. I want to know if theres any transportaion from USC to thier Medical Center thats right next to the general scary-looking concrete building (L.a county hosp.) By the way im not a student at USC, im a H.S student. Anyone knows if theres anything from like special services to bus lines to USCUH? Thank you
