Anyone interested in property development? Im coming to the USA from Australia in 3 weeks....?

My family and I are property developers and builders in Australia and we are now planning on moving to the USA to get into Property Development. we are coming over in 3 weeks to look at property and some business opportunities.

anyone know where is a good place to start or any places to look for investment partners?

Seriously, with the type of capital you are discussing here you should be seeking out a corporate real estate agent/developer. The advice you're likely to get through this means probably won't be the best. If you're talking small time investments- $500K US or less than most real estate companies will have a qualified commercial real estate agent.

This is a bad time to invest in real estate in The U. S.! The banks are going crazy and not lending out monies. Home owners are losing their equity and interest rates are going up. Most folks would not venture into investing until things level off.

Builders are losing money big time as the are selling off their model homes at low Prices. Land is still high in price. New homes are not being built as Buyers won't pay the high prices. Prices on "to be built"  homes will have to rise with the cost of fuel skyrocketing. Do the research before you come here.
