  1. i watch moto gp more than world superbikes and i'm glad that JT is going to moto gp cos i can actually support somebody now!  It's the same as Formula 1.  I have somebody to support now cos Lewis Hamilton has arrived.

Moto gp is the formula 1 of motor bike riding and you can't blame him for wanting to test himself against the best, even though i think he will struggle on the bike he will have.

  2. Yes I love watching WSBK on TV and live when I can.

I religiously watch WSBK and Moto GP, so will continue to follow JT's career with interest.

I'm not sure if the Tech 3 team is the best choice, but he and Roger Burnett his manager are not stupid, and would not have gone to an uncompetitive team. They obviously know more than we do, and they say it's going to be a Factory effort, so we'll have to wait and see.

I personally would rather have seen him go to Rizzla Suzuki and partner Chris Vermulen (also ex Ten Kate rider)

Somehow I doubt that he'll set the world alight in his first season. Especially when he'll be mixing it with other Rookies like Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizziozo.

Whatever happens I wish him luck. He's obviously a talented world class rider, and given the right equipment could go all the way.

  3. I watch both and funnily enough went from an opposite direction in that I started watching WSB when Barros went from Moto GP.

There are a few factors that will influence things.

    1. Will the Tech 3 bikes be similar spec to the works team.

    2.What tyres will they run.

3.Will he get equal treatment to his team mate.

No 1 I don't know. No2 could be crucial this year it's been Dunlop and they haven't been as good as Michelin or Bridgestone. No3 He's teamed with Colin Edwards an all around good bloke who is apparently in his last year with Yamaha in Moto GP before going to American SB.

If the bike and tyres are good he should do well

  5. Yeah SBK has some awesome racing alright.  I think Toseland will go ok in Moto GP as the step up is easier now compared to going to the old 500cc two strokes.  I think he should have been in Moto GP after his SBK world title.  Top ten would be awesome in his first season.

  6. Hey Alicia,

I love the WSBK's and BSBK's so I say the more racing the better.

As for James Toseland I think he and Colin Edwards will make excellent stable mates (even if they don't turn into best buddies, they have a real wealth of combined experience to draw on) and James will (hopefully!) be arriving with a title under his belt!

    I can't wait!

  7. Iam so glad he is leaving WSB.

Motogp is where the real races are. James will be the best rider Tech 3 has ever had, but it will not be easy for him.

He may struggle with the change of tyres, but he has done it before. He will be the first 2 time World Champ that Tech 3 has ever had.

    I cant wait!
