Anyone know a background check investigator for Russia?

I have been dating a woman on the internet for about 6 months and would like to visit her, or her visit me in the US. My co-workers keep telling me I'm being scammed! and I want to find out one way or the other. Anyone know of a good detective or service that can do this? Thanks.

Be careful choosing a private investigator or background check service based in Russia, since the country suffers from widespread corruption and fraud.  I have a couple friends who have been burned by these so-called investigators, so it's probably best to choose a company based outside of Russia, say from the U.S. or U.K.  Definitely get her checked out before making any real financial or other committments.   I don't know personally, but my brother-in-law (now married to a Russian beauty) used a company called Wymoo and said they were very good.  You can check out their website to see what they charge, etc, since I really don't know the specifics.

I would advice you first (before spending money for any check-ups) visit and read (and ask questions about detective) on forums of foreigners having russian wives or girlfriends, here's one for example

In general rules are that you don't send her money in no case before you meet- under no reason - so that's why you will never be scammed. Also for a young Russian woman who's not married, not a student, without children, highly-paid job and previos shengen or USA visas it's next to impossible (5% chance) to get visa to the USA. So you better go visiting her. Before that you should establish regular contact with her on the phone. If she expressed love to you in first letters - she's big chance a scammer. But anyway you should ask yourself why you co-workers are of such opinion - may be it's just their prejudice or they apply to facts in your correspondence that you didn't notice.

Good way to check if she's true to find out when she has her birthday - or fin other important date for her - and send flowers to her home address using flower delivery - and they can take her picture with the flowers so you know she's for real.
