  1. I can't think of a single restaurant with a mechanical bull in Houston.  Generally you find those at bars, because they are most commonly ridden after someone has had too much to drink.

These days, you'd probably have better luck finding one of those in Ft Worth than in Houston.

That said, you might take them to a Saltgrass Steakhouse - old west theme, not too pricey, plenty of locations.  You might also try Pappadeaux for some good Cajun food.  Also try taking them to a taqueria for proper Mexican food.  My family in Florida always asks for that when they visit.

    Have a wonderful time!

  2. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

  3. The Lonestar Cafe is great.  For more upscale try Rio Ranch on Westheimer.  Sorry, but the bulls have moved on and headed out---insurance liability, ya know!

  4. I've never seen a mechanical bull in a restaurant. They used to be in bars, but the last place I saw one was a kicker bar on Gessner back in 1989. (My office used to have happy hours there. No, I never rode the bull. Neither did any of my coworkers.)

As for a restaurant to get the cowboy experience, there are any number of "western themed" ones, but the one CookingPancakes suggested is a good one. I like Rio Ranch, although I haven't been in there since '05.

  5. idk bt i like HOUSTON'S
