Anyone know a good book about Spaceships?

I am interested in the subject of spaceships, so is there a book you would recommend I read about spaceships? A book that explains how spaceships work, the history of space travel, maybe some pictures and diagrams.

if you really want to learn about space ships do this read jules verne to the moon it is about where this guy builds a big cannon underground but it sticks out of the ground and he constructs a huge cannonball the size of a bed room and also makes it like a bed room becuase it is hollow and packs the hole with gunpowder and ignites it and flys to the moon it is the first rocket story written
