Anyone know a good makeup foundation?

I need help with foundation. The kind I use now is CoverGirl pressed powder, and I use CoverGirl Tru blend liquid to cover up problem areas. The problem though is that my powder seems to wear off really quickly. I have to apply it almost every hour!! My friend says Elizabeth Arden Foundation works really well but I want to see if I can something cheaper. Any tips on good working foundation, and is there any way I can make it stay on longer? (Atleast for a whole school day maybe?)

  1. Look for your Merle Norman shop. They can do a makeover on you and you will look goregous. It lasts all day and they have fantastic colors that look natural so you don't look like you have on a ton of makeup.

  2. I am not a fan of powder foundation.

I find that it can be cakey, and draw attention to problem areas.

I would recommend MAC liquid foundation.

With the right brush, the application can be flawless.

I would recommend a stippling brush.

You can get the brushes at the drugstore, or Sephora.

  3. Start with a makeup primer to prep the skin and make your foundation stay on longer and be true in color. Choose a foundation that is specifically labeled for long-wear, and set it with a loose, translucent powder. Then layer using sheer colors.

  4. bare minerals is amazing, but pricey. i have heard that Dream Mousse is  another good one. one way to help make-up last is to not touch your face :)
