  1. TGI Fridays is a winner everytime for me - Please Please Please DO NOT go to Pasta Browns - went there a few months ago & it was disgusting!

  2. Joe Allen in Exeter Street is really good

  3. Fish and chips and a bottle of champagne in the park is so much better than a restaurant.

  4. If you fancy American - theres Maxwells or Hamburger Union

  5. I dont live in London but ive been to a good restaurant called Browns.

    there is a review here....

  6. I have just gone into the website and it sounds very good to me, around 27 per head, But for the extra £11 the Ritz are doing special for £38 per head and its a memory if you have never been there. But the website sounds pretty good. Make your own choice. Browns has a load of stars so must be good. Enjoy

  7. I got a deal on Tutton's Brasserie which is in Covent Garden by booking it through Toptable.co.uk. It was 3 courses for £9.95 with a free half bottle of wine. A bargain, the food was very good and the venue is great for groups. Even without the deal the menu's looked very reasonable.

  8. In Covent Garden for that price you wont get a full meal in a restaurant, try McD's!!

  9. Why not try the Belgo Bierdrome on Kingsway (which is the eastern edge of Covent Garden and a new Party area). Ate in this Brasserie style restaurant recently and had a great time. Look out for the special deals and the strength of the beers.

  10. fire and stone make amazing food. you can get drinks, and three courses there for 25 per person or less even. and the food is nice and the place is lovely.

  11. LOADS OF PLACES AROUND COVENT GARDEN

    you will enjoy

  12. Yes indeed -

    Cafe Pacifico  http://www.cafepacifico-laperla.com/cafe...

  13. Covent Garden is a dead zone as far as good restaurants go - it is set up very much for tourists.  In fact in the Good Food Guide there is just one restaurant listed in Covent Garden, Rules.  This is quite a quaint place (the oldest restaurant in London, specialising in game) but a meal with modest wine would be £50 a head or so.  At this budget level I suggest that you take a short walk to Chinatown, where value can be had.  I would suggest Fung Shing and Mr Kong as the best Chinatown places.  Mr Kong is the cheaper of the two, and if you order jasmine tea instead of wine then you would definitely be able to have a good meal for £25 a head.

If you insist on Cvent Garden then Wagamama would be your best bet.  It is pretty basic but decent, serving noodles.  This would also fit in your price range.

  15. If you want a nice restaurant, I'd go to Suzie Wong on Old Compton Street (W1D 4TL). It's great for groups as the food is Thai tapas-style so great for sharing. Owned by the chef, Ken Hom, he decor is very plush and they have some atmospheric seating for groups in booths with comfy cushions. Their website is below...
