Anyone know about GROUP HOMEs?

I am interested in transforming my house into a group home. I would like to house four teenage males and a on-site manager.

QUESTION TO YOU?

1. Can I get social services to contribute to the start up cost?

2. Are their any grants available for this type of program?

3. What agencies should I contact initiate this venture?

4. How much in terms of salary can I anticipate to make from this?

You can check out grants and apply for them, you can call social services agencies in your area and see what they are seeking, see how the social services comp for taking care of teen males.  They probably will need to know your background.  Make sure any one who works for you has a bac kground check before hiting them.

You need to talk to the State of where you reside in the Health and Human Services. You home will have to be acceptable to the "STATE" codes, I.e.- so many square feet per person residing there, certain kinds of doors, so many bathrooms, size of living space. Where it is located will be evaluated to. I need more information though. Are these teenagers with disabilities? etc. E-mail me if you wish.
